Indios SFM - Reales LV 91-97 LNB top team - Reales LV (7-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Indios SFM (1-6) in San Francisco 97-91. Reales LV made 29-of-33 charity shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Indios SFM was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a quality performance for swingman A.J. Davis (206-95, college: UCF) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Guard Qiydar Davis (198-93, college: Indiana St., agency: SDJ Sports) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit Mercy) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Indios SFM in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Reales LV have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Indios SFM lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Reales LV will play against Leones SD (#3) in Santo Domingo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Indios SFM will play on the road against Caneros Del Este in La Romana and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Caneros Del Este managed to secure a 4-point victory 93-89 on Sunday. Caneros Del Este made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Naturalized American guard Herbert Graham (196-93, college: Armstr.Atlantic) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Jonathan Araujo chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Brandone Francis (196-95, college: Texas Tech) added 26 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Four Metros STGO players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Caneros Del Este. They moved-up to fourth place. Metros STGO at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Caneros Del Este will meet at home bottom-ranked Indios SFM (#6) in the next round. Metros STGO will play against the league's second-placed Soles SD and hope to secure a win. Soles SD (4-3) won against visiting Leones SD (4-3) 91-76. Soles SD made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Soles SD outrebounded Leones SD 53-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Leones SD helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for guard Kelvin Pena (193-80, college: Southeastern CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jereme Richmond (203-92, college: Illinois) helped adding 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Soles SD players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized American forward Justin Satchell (203, college: St.Leo) responded with 23 points and point guard Yerri Flores (188-96, college: High School) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles SD moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Leones SD. Leones SD lost third consecutive game. Soles SD is looking forward to face Metros STGO (#5) in Santiago in the next round. Leones SD will play on the road against the league's leader Reales LV in La Vega and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
